Margaret’s Arrival

She came to earth in chariots of gold
And trailing clouds of star-dust; angel’s song
Accompanied as thunder pealed along,
But no one heard or saw, like tales of old…
We waited quietly right here on earth,
With our own trails of glory long-forgot—
Such is the human struggle and our lot—
Thus baited breath awaits each coming birth.

She came in silence, and I saw those eyes;
Like water, fathomless deep pools of peace;
Like sunlight, warming with it’s shining love;
Like earth, with all it’s wonder, wherein lies
A path for thee; thus may you boldly stride,
And ‘midst the world’s old sorrows, turn the tide!

Everywhere I go I take a harp with me, be it to a friend’s house, a concert, class or tour; be it a social gathering, recording studio, or off to Ireland. This timeless musical archetype has been my constant companion for well over half of my life now; and I expect it will accompany me in some form or other in the next... It expresses my soul and enlivens my spirit - I hope you enjoy this latest collection from my earthly sojourn.
